Carol White lives in a small village called Henfiel – there are about 300 people here. She loves it because it’s quiet and life is very easy. Here people never have to queue in shops or banks. The village is clean – people look after it and don’t throw their rubbish in the streets. The air is also clean because there’s not much heavy traffic. It’s much more friendly here than in a city. Everyone knows everyone and if one has a problem , there are always people who can help.
However, there aren’t many things she doesn’t like about Henfiel. She says that there’s not much to do in the evening- there are no cinema and theatre. And another thing she doesn’t like is that people always talk about each other and everyone knows what everyone else is doing. But she still prefers village life to life in a big city.
